Drug Terminator II – Program that was established in 1986. Program has provided services for thousands of youth. The core of the program are recreational activities including instructional clinics and organized team activities. Participants are educated on the harsh realities of involvement with illegal drugs. The programs provide the following:
1. Mapp Camp – Instructional Basketball Camp that services boys and girls from ages 8-15. Program designed and implemented by Laron Mapp. Mr. Mapp currently serves as Youth Activities Coordinator and has been a lifelong RISE member.
2. Bear Mountain Trip – Each year RISE hosts a trip to Bear Mountain. Free food, transportation, tee shirts, and activities are provided to all participants. Approximately 250 youth attend.
3. Guest Speakers – Speakers are scheduled for participants.
4. Seasonal Recreational Activities - Youth are provided year round recreational activities that are supervised and conducted by RISE staff.
5. Counseling/Prevention – All participants are offered counseling to assist with drug prevention on a weekly basis.
